Choose one of the following trust transivity options to establish a nontransitive trust relationship bound only by the domain and realm or to allow a transitive trust relationship that extends outside of the domains with which it was formed:
Nontransitive
Select this option to create nontransitive trusts with domains located outside of a Windows Server 2003 forest. Nontransitive trusts are bounded by the two domains in the trust relationship and do not flow to any other domains in the forest. All trust relationships between Windows Server 2003 domains and Windows NT domains are nontransitive.
Using the New Trust Wizard, you can manually create the following nontransitive trusts:
Transitive
Select this option to create transitive trusts between Windows Server 2003 domains in the same forest or across forests. Transitive trusts are not bounded by the two domains in the trust relationship. In other words, transitive trusts implicitly extend their relationship to include any domains that trust either of the domains that the transitive trust was originally created with. All domains created in a Windows Server 2003 forest are transitive by default.
In addition to the default transitive trusts established in a Windows Server 2003 forest, using the New Trust Wizard, you can manually create the following transitive trusts.
